Inserting coins in a coin counter
- Solutions
- Eliminated back strain and made the work light enough for anyone to do
About the job
- Problems
- A bank needed to sort the coins it received at the end of each day. The sorting was difficult, so they installed an automatic coin counter to do the work. Before the Raku-Raku Hand was installed, employees would have to lift the 16–20 kg gunnysacks by hand in order to pour the coins into the coin counter machine.
- Solutions
- Lifting the bags of coins was backbreaking work, and could only be handled
by the strongest men at the company.
- Now that the Raku-Raku Hand is installed, the job is light enough for any
of the employees to do it.
