- Vacuum suction
- Vacuum suction end effectors use vacuum generating device to create suction in pads that attach to the surface of workpiece in order to lift them. This type of end effector is perfect for sheets of glass or steel, and can even be used on breathable materials like cardboard and paper bags.

- Fork end effectors slip prongs under workpieces in order to lift them. And additional adjustable pitch control feature allows operators to lift workpieces of various sizes as well.

- Mechanized
- Mechanized end effectors work like self-weighted clamps to hook onto workpieces and lift them. For added safety, lifted workpieces are held in place by their own weight, ensuring that the clasp does not come undone.

- Pneumatic clamp
- Pneumatic clamps use a pneumatic cylinder or similar device to pinch workpieces and lift them. Pneumatic clamps can also be fitted with strength adjustments so that fragile workpieces can be safely lifted as well.
